Habari, Bishop Gulle! Just wanted to say hello, and that I am looking forward to seeing you and the other pastors in 2012! I'm praying for your family as well as all the other families we met. Our church (Christ the King) is eager to join with you and other pastors next summer to help preach, teach, and visit with villages again. Asante sana! Greetings!
I belong to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fairfield, OHIO USA. Your Synod and our Synod (The Southern Ohio Synod)are Companion Synods.
I was looking for information on your website about "The Women of the Red Eyes". I know that the women are being hurt and sometimes killed because the witch doctors are telling others that they are evil and bad things will happen. Our church and Synod raises money to help with transportation, hospital supplies and refuge for these women. Where does this issue stands at this time? It is a still a common occuring problem?
The other issue I have questions about is HIV/AIDS. Our young womens group at church today held an AIDS event for World AIDS Day. We watched a documentary called "The Lazarus Effect" which was about ARV drugs and how they help people who are infected. If there is a problem in the East Lake of Victoria area, are there Lutheran clinics or clinics in the area who distribute ARV's to the people in your area in Tanzania? Someone told me that the ARV's aren't available to people who live in remote areas so some people are selling their ARV's to these people in exchange for money to buy food. Is this a problem in Tanzania?
If your interested in learning more about todays World Aids Day event or even if you would like to watch the 30 minute documentary called "The Lazarus Effect", go to: http://www.fairfieldlutheran.org/ministry/cafecircle.php
Thank you and God Bless! Jessica Gill

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. I serve St. John Lutheran Church a North American Lutheran Church (NALC) congregation. We were formally a member of the Southern Ohio Synod of the ELCA. Our womens group has been and would like to continue to support the "Red Eyed Women" program that has been coordinated by the SOS. Do you have a contact person in ELVD and a method that we can send support through? We would appreciate any guidance you could give us. Thank you.Name: gerlinde haker E-mail: gerlinde.haker@gmx.de City: schwerin Country: germany Sent: 10/26/2010 04:49:01 pm

Hello, Bishop Guille, my name is Beth Magomolla. I applied to work as a parish worker in the church in Mwanza last year. My contact with you was through Mary Kitundu. I was not able to come to Mwanza last year to fulfill my role as parish worker but I plan a trip to Mwanza this week, perhaps this Thursday, Oct. 14. I would like to meet you if possible. I will be traveling with Rev. David Malaba of Nairobi. If you email your phone number, we can call you or you can call me at +254710689053.
